No. A splash page is a page that displays before the full website is displayed and it is something that is no longer supported. You will notice that most websites these days do not use splash pages. This is because it is an extra step for visitors and they will be annoyed at having to click the 'Enter Now' or 'Skip Intro' button.
Instead of a splash page you are able to have a flash intro in the header of your home page. This has the same effect of introducing your visitors to your company brand.
