Sending an Email via Tookit Broadcast
To generate the HTML for your newsletter you must first login to the Tookit. Please follow the steps below to generate the HTML email code and send your email via the Toolkit Broadcast system:

1. Log into Toolkit, https://www.thetoolkit.co.uk

2. Select Contacts.

3. Select Email.

4. If a server status page appears, Click continue otherwise see point 5.

5. if the HTML template drop down is NOT empty you may choose from the list of templates avilable. If its is empty please move to next step.

7. Select "Preview email"

8. Select "Preview HTML version" This will display your HTML newsletter in your web browser. (please note that you no longer need to send the email to yourself from the Toolkit, you should do this in the Broadcast control panel instead)

9. If you are happy with the layout and formatting of your email then close the preview window to return to the Toolkit. You will see below the HTML for the email has been generated and is displayed in a text box below the preview links.

10. Either click the highlight button or place your cursor in the text box and select all (Ctrl - A on PC, apple - A on a Mac) the text in the text box and then copy (Ctrl - C / apple - C). This will copy all the HTML to your clipboard.

11. Login to Toolkit Broadcast - https://www.toolkitbroadcast.co.uk, login details supplied by the support team, once you have upgraded your account.

12. Select "Emails" then "Compose Email"

13. Click "Add" next to "To" and select the group you wish to send newsletter to. (you may wish to initially send to a test group that may only contain one contact,yourself)

14. Click "From name" and select from the available names. - Enter your subject and email name (email name is not included in newsletter its a reference for you).

15. Click source in the email editor box below.

16. Paste (Ctrl - V / apple - V) the HTML code previously copied to your clipboard into the box.

17. You can then preview and send the email using the buttons at the bottom of the page.
